These Latin scripted conversations  can be followed in the print edition available for free on google books by copying the following link into your browser: http://books.google.com/books?id=q0kuAAAAYAAJ This series of scripted conversations was extremely famous - in Corderius' day, a student had to not only be able to read Latin, he also had to have facility speaking it - these scripted conversations, which were intended to be memorised, cover many everyday topics related to school life and studying - giving the student the vocabulary and sentence patterns needed to cope with the school room, where all lessons were given in Latin, and where it was expected students would only communicate in Latin. Using what is now called the 'natural method', these dialogues help give the user a wide range of clear examples of conversational Latin speech. The dialogues are witty, and there is a good reason why they remained in print for over 400 years - they are very good at doing what they set out to do.
