Description
Ninety years ago a war began in Europe that could easily have been avoided. The forces of Germany and Austria stood arrayed against the armies of Britain, France and Russia. Because these countries had already conquered much of the world, the European war turned into a world war. The result was the death of millions, the invention of terrible weapons of destruction and the devastation of many countries. When it was over German was defeated and the Austrian Empire dissolved. But the hatred and bitterness would linger to start another war. Recorded on October 5, 2004.
